I am raising funds to support and awareness of New Hope Housing by joining 90 people on June 14, 2024, to go Over The Edge! I was raised in the Chicago area by a family dedicated to affordable housing, shelter, and community service. By participating in this event, I am supporting these areas AND confronting my fear of heights!
While my kids were growing up, we gave our gently used clothing, household items, and toy donations to New Hope Housing for its program that supported women (often with their children) who were escaping difficult domestic situations. These donations went directly into the hands of people who used them immediately.
In more recent years, I have supported New Hope Housing in its role as manager of the Bailey's Community Shelter and Supportive Housing facility. My Rotary club provides inclement hygiene/survival kits, socks, and underwear to the shelter homeless assistance program. We also provide household kits to assist people transitioning from temporary to permanent housing.
The first 90 fundraisers to raise a minimum of $1,000 will earn a spot to go Over The Edge. You can also rappel with me by signing up to go Over The Edge too! I hope you can help me reach my goal and help make a difference.
